Designetics Seeks Donations for a Spooktacular Cause

Designetics Cares, the non-profit charitable arm of fluid applications industry leader Designetics, is a presenting sponsor of this year’s iHeartRadio Trunk and Treat event, held on St. Clair Street in Hensville Park, Saturday, October 26 from 11 am to 2 pm. The event provides a safe and fun way for children to take part in Halloween activities, as more than 30 vehicles will offer candy, prizes, activities and games to trick-or-treaters. This year, the event will be made even more special, because Designetics Cares is partnering with several organizations with a target of donating 1,000 winter coats for those in need.

Designetics Cares has, to date, purchased more than 400 coats and is seeking additional coat donations to benefit children in need, hoping to gather as many winter coats as possible prior to the event. The foundation is also working with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Toledo Christian School, Early Bird Basketball, Historic South and Connecting Kids to Meals to spread the word about the coat collection effort.

The coats will be distributed to children at the Trunk or Treat event. Individuals looking to donate to the worthwhile cause can contact the foundation at 419-866-0700; the foundation is looking for new and gently used coats or cash donations that will be used for the purchase of additional coats for those in need.
