As part of the initiative, the company recently created the Cedar Point Challenge—an opportunity for employees to earn tickets to Cedar Point, the amusement park that boasts it’s “the roller coaster capital of the world,” by walking their way to the Point.
During the Cedar Point Challenge, employees were given one free ticket to Cedar Point; if they individually walked 79 miles in the five-week span, they would receive another ticket to the park. Prizes were also awarded to the two top walkers, distance-wise.
It was a challenge that was enthusiastically accepted—and then surpassed. In fact, the two top finishers logged more than 400 miles in five weeks, with many others posting more than 200 miles in the span.
